I had some bowing and cracking in my cinder block basement wall and Groundworks mitigated the issue by adding vertical bracing to the affected wall. I also had water leaking in which was caused mold issues so they also installed a new drainage system in the basement and sealed the walls to prevent water coming in. This treatment provided stability to prevent further movement. The braces were also adjustable to allow for further corrections which were included in the original work. Today, Michael Bowers came out to provide that follow up annual inspection and maintenance. He thoroughly tested the new drainage system they installed and took measurements to baseline whether the walls were stable. Michael explained everything to me and noted some other areas we should keep an eye on without trying to upsell me which I appreciated. He was friendly and thorough. I would recommend using Groundworks and give Michael a high review rating.

Sinan was very professional during his visit with us while he described what it would cost and what the solution would be. He was very honest and genuine about what problems he saw and offered solutions for them (like extending gutters away from the house and explaining how water could be getting in.) It did not make us feel pressured at all to get it done and actually helped us understand the scope of the problem. Overall it was a great experience!

Went with this local waterproofing service after a friend recomended them, and I have to say it worked out pretty well. The crew showed up on time and walked me thru what they were doing, which helped me feel more relaxed about the whole thing. Basement used to get a little damp after heavy rain, but since they finished the job it’s been dry and doesn’t have that musty smell anymore. Price felt fair for the work, and everyone was friendly enough. Not overly fancy, just solid work, I’d definately use them again if I needed it.

The two guys who came out today, Ben Cook and Travis, were awesome. They were efficient and thorough, keeping us informed all the way and answering my husband's numerous questions. Our steps were raised eight inches in one area! This will be the first winter we will not have to cling to the rail due to ice and a huge slope. Logan explained my options to repair the water leaks in my basement and then explained the cost and benefits of each option, providing extensive information for the option that was recommended. The team came on the day and time expected, working continuously to get the job done and protect the other areas of my basement from work debris. They completed the job in one long day, taking away any leftover materials, etc. the work was finished early, and within the parameters of the work scope. My partner and I just purchased our first home and noted some concerns in the basement. Water intrusion, and a rotted out beam. We had another company come out and give us a bid but it felt like a sales pitch the entire time and didn’t actually provide us with the insight we needed to make an informed decision about our basement and how to proceed. Groundworks was the complete opposite! Our inspector Logan J. was phenomenal – he is so knowledgeable about structural issues and pointed out major red flags that the other company completely skipped over AND our home inspector prior to our purchase didn’t find. We are so incredibly thankful he came out and provided us with the understanding of how structural systems work and very clear ways we can remedy the situation. Because of Logan J., we have a clear plan and we know our home will be in great hands! 🙌

Bryce Jacovetti came out to our house today to inspect and assess an area of block wall that was a concern to us. He checked our garage floor and walls, walked the outside foundation, checked the inside lower level and main floors. He then set up a laser level and checked the main floor for level. It was all level to 1/4 “. Then Bryce took his laser to the wall that had the area of concern and checked that for plumb. That too was within 1/4 “. Bryce then gave his assessment and told me there was no cause for concern and did not meet a grade 1, lowest level of foundation movement. What a relief! My wife had a sleepless night or two, worrying about this. I can’t thank Bryce enough for coming out and Groundworks for being a great company! Would 100% recommend!

Many thanks to my work crew Austin T., Noah B. and Caitlin H. for a recent foundation project. Unfortunately, previous fixes to my foundation had not been 100% successful and needed much more to stop it from continuing to crack. There aren’t a lot of companies who can do this type of work. I’ve used them now 3 times over a 7 year period and hopefully don’t ever have to call again. In a good way. This way my house remains a viable residence and I don’t have to live in my car behind it. Thanks once again for the work and making this possible. Great crew, fast and efficient work considering the complexity of the project.
