Innovative Basement Authority Partners with Habitat for Humanity
This year, the team at Innovative Basement Authority (IBA) partnered with Habitat for Humanity. As part of the companywide Build Together 2024 initiative, employees assisted in home builds for members of the local communities.
IBA’s parent company, Groundworks, donated $100,000 Habitat for Humanity affiliates across the country to support long-term stability through safe and affordable housing. Part of the Goodworks by Groundworks program, this partnership gives 5,000 employees the chance to volunteer in 63 communities throughout the year.
Minneapolis
On May 10, IBA volunteers in Minneapolis teamed up with Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity to help put finishing touches on a home in Paul Park. Nine employees helped with painting and installing screen doors at a home that will be dedicated to a deserving community member later this year.
Fargo
Team members in Fargo volunteered with Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity on August 1. 12 volunteers spent the morning constructing a foundation for a new home in Fargo. Employees were grateful to be making a difference in the community in which they serve.
Rush City
Central Minnesota Habitat for Humanity hosted IBA teammates at a build site on August 9. IBA employees did what they know best – adding waterproofing measures around the home. Volunteers also began construction on a porch for the house in St. Joseph.
The future homeowners are excited for more space for them and their 6 children! They are looking forward to the stability homeownership will bring to their family.
